This is a good approximation at the boundaries with metals at high field frequencies. Under this boundary condition the tangential component of the electric field's amplitude at the boundary is set to zero: .. math:: \tilde{\mathbf{E}} \times \mathbf{n} = 0, where :math:`\hat{\mathbf{n}}` is the unit vector normal to the boundary.
