Global Cell Index¶

Global Cell Index is a scalar coefficient with one value for each cell. It gives a cell number that is unique in all MPI processes. In a serial run, it is equal to the Local Cell Index.

The number can change after refinement. Use it only to find a cell, for example a cell that the mesh quality check shows.
